Famous rock nearby Dinant with view over the Maas.

This rock carries a legend. This says that the rocky pyramide was split off from the rocks above by the giant horse Bayard. That is the 4 children ('heemskinderen'), on the run for Emperor Charles. The rock was split when this horse jumped across the Maas.

In reality, it was split by the Louis XIV's French troups, after they ahd invaded Dinant, to make an easy road along the Maas.

Currently, you can drive along this rock, some houses have disappeared.
