Speical about this baroque monastery is a picture of Our Lady Assumption made in tiles.

In fact, Francisco Antunes wanted a cloister of the Carmelites dedicated to Saint Theresia. However, in 1704 the Pope accepted to change this into Saint-Joseph. But because of the central statue on the altar representing Our Lay of Carmel, this cloister is also known under this name.
