Spencer House LONDON / United Kingdom description:

This neoclassic Gentleman's house was built from 1756 for John (first Earl) Spencer. The architect was John Vardy, who s mainly repsonsible for the facades as we see now. In 1758, he was replaced by James 'Athenian' Stuart, who added more greek elementsr.

This Spencer house is one of the first examples of neoclassic building in England.

The house is still in the hands of the Spencer family, of which the famous Diana (deceased wife of prince Charles) was the husband.
