In the Rose (Zur Rose) & Freiligrath House (Freiligrath Hause) Soest / Germany description:This timber framing corner house carries a double name. 'In
the Rose' (Zur Rose') points to the real name of the building, shown by the rose in the
gable top. The other name, 'Freiligrath House' points to the
poet Ferdinand Freiligrath who had a shop here.
The house is classified under Renaissance style and dates from the 16th
century. Like in many houses in Soest, the timber framing is corbeling
out. The roof is a pavilion roof. The gable shows nice portraits under
impeler timming.
