Saint Paul's church (Sankt Pauli) Soest / Germany description:This 3-aisled Gothic hall-church was built
from around 1350. A Saint Paul's church is already mentioned in 1229, but this was a
Romanesque building. The choir is from around 1400.
This Saint-Paul's church was the first Lutherian church in Soest.
The buidling did not suffer much damage during the second world war.
The Baroque organ-case dates from 1675 and was
made by Peter Heinrich Varenholt and Andreas Schneider. The
organ it self is from 1895.
Strange in this church are the colombaria containing the urns with the
ashes of dead...
