The Giles family is a cartoon family, invented at the end of World War II by cartoonist cartoonist Ronald 'Carl' Giles. It's a higher class workers family living in a semi detached house. They are patriotic, and don't like the government.

The statue dates from 1993 and was made by Robinson.
