Abbey Comana / Romania description:

This fortified monastery was founded in 1461 by Vlad Tepes. it was on an island in the swamps, only reachable via a wooden bridge that could easily be burned in case of danger.

During the centouries, it was modified. By the end of the 16th century however (during the ttoman rule) it was not much more than a ruin.
