Kulina Tower Pocitelj in Capljina / Bosnia-Herzegovina description:

This Kulina tower is one of the eldest remains of the city defenses. This defense was built in 1465 - 1471 according to architect Paskoje Milecevic's plans from Dubrovnik.

Those defenses could not avoid that in summer 1471 ithe city fell in Ottoman hands. After this, the strategic importance of the city discreased till the end of the 17th century. Then, the tower was filled-up with earth, making it mor resistant to canon balls, and was made higher.
