Belfry THUIN / BELGIUM description:

The original belfry, which was already waekened by demolition works under Charles le Téméraire (1468), fell on the ground in 1606 during a heavy storm.

The current building was built in 1639. The spire dates from 1801, after a fire had burnt the previous one.
