Southern Terasse ANTWERP 1 in ANTWERP / BELGIUM description:This modern building for a cafe-restaurant on the board of the Scheldt was built on a moment when there was a lot of discussion about the neglected border of the river and the relation between the Scheldt and the city of Antwerp. It was the idea to put attention to this issue. Another building to wtiness this discussion was the House of Roosmalen.
Just like the House of Roosmalen, this South Terasse was drawn by Architecten Werkgroep (AWG).
The building, with its round gates, large cheminee, long terasses gives the idea of a ship... for sure no coinsidence!
From the building, you have a nive view over the Scheldt...
