In the chapel of this castle there is since 1804 a beautiful mausoleum of the Prins-Bishop Charles-Nicolas d'Oultremont, made by sculptor Guillaume Evrard. (Thanks to Freddy Van Daele) After Marc Sottiaux: This castle is fascinating for its history: the current construction is nothing but a pale remainder of a house of the Knights of Temples. The construction goes back to the middle of the 13th century, but it was damaged and changed many times. It is also the place where the d'Oultremont family came from. The played an important role in the local history.
