Cloister of the Franciscans (Franevacki Samostan) Krk / CROATIA description:

The Franciscan monks were already on Krk in 1277.

Their abbey in fact was part of the Northern city wall.

The east wing was only built in 1910.

The abbey houses an interesting renaissance painting by Vittorio Carpaccio.
