Already during the 5th century there was a 3 naved basilica on this place. It was built on the remains of Roman batchs.

The current three-aisled cathedral was built in the 12th century, and still carries a lot of Romanesque elements. You recognise f.e. windows with round arches...

Through the centuries... several modifications were done.
