Around this castle we see the remains or ruins of the city walls of the Middle Ages town Pommiers, dating from the beginning of the 14th century (?). In 1496 officially, Pommiers got city rights. We still clearly find a city gate, and one of the corner towers is still standing.

At the end of the 18th century, the domain became a vineyard.
