Bridgewater House LONDON / United Kingdom description:The eldest house known on this spot is the Berkshire House, which was built around
1626-1627 for Thomas Howard.
The current gentleman's house is more recent. it was designed by Sir
Charles Barry in 1840, and was finished in 185 for Lord Ellesmere, heir of the 3rd count
of Bridgewater.
During the 2nd World War, the house got damaged, after which it was used as office
building. In 1981 the Bridgewater House was bought and restaurated by the Greek Yiannis
Latsis.
