Watch Tower Bordeaux / FRANCE description:Carmen: 'Clock Tower - Bordeaux
Built during the 15th century, Middle Age monument, 2 towers and a
central gate, classified as historic monument in 1886.
The 2 round twoers are 40 metres heigh, and connected via a central building.
Between the 15th and the 18th century many changed happened. The clock- 2m heigh, 7.800 kg, is made in 1775, the
railing also in 1775 wrought iron. On
top there is a weather vane representing a leopard.
The clockwork dates from 1759, the astronomic watch is made
according to P.Larroque's plans .'
