Saint Nicolas' Chapel Soest / Germany description:

The Romanesque Saint-Nicolas chapel (Nikolaikapelle) dates from the 12th century. it was part of the Patrokli Abbey. Probably the borthers used it for small services and memorial services.

The quite unique nave is made of 2 aisles, with in de middle pillars. In the capel one finds interesting paintings, mural paintings and statues. In the choir the mural paintings are from 1230-1250. The altaar piece was made around 1400 by Conrad of Soest.
