Saint Michael' s church (also Study Church or Jesuites church) Passau / Germany description:This church was built by the Jesuits at the end of the 16th
century. The original church however got lost during the city fire of 1662. 1662.
The current baroque church building was built in 1677 by Pietro
Francesco Carlone.
Inside, one finds 6 side altars from 1678. The high
altar dates from 1712 and was made by Jakob Pawanger following the design of the
Jesuit Christoph Tausch. The angels and the
retable date from 1714 and were made by Diego Francesco Carlone. The
pulpit dats from 1715-1720.
